Newspapers political bias:

The Labour Party have been firmly on the left and The Conservative Party have been firmly on the right.

- Consider what would some examples be of more liberal values / opinions? Why would someone vote Labour?
-  Some examples of liberal values are surrounding individual freedom. In this context the term freedom is freedom for the rich or the property owners. Liberalism can be seen from both a political and economic perspective. Their values compliments the political, social and economic views of society. Some of their values are statements such as, the right to free speech, the right to defend oneself, the right to property ownership, the right of religious expression and the promotion of charity and community. As seen from some from their values, it is clear that they aim to please the social and equal rights of the community.

- Consider what would some examples be of more conservative values / opinions? Why would someone vote Conservative?
-

- Where do other parties fit in to this Left - Right continuum (e.g. Liberal Democrats, The Green Party, UKIP, etc.)?
-

Why would a group of people (e.g. a political party) change their stance in terms of key issues?
-

Why would an organisation support a certain political party through its media products?
