- The Jenkins theory is about how the audience and customers can participate in the creation of new products and the product gaining popularity. Minecraft players actively play the game and help it to circulate amongst friends, social media, etc. 


How is Minecraft different to conventional computer games in terms of narrative and what kind of experience this offers gamers?


- Minecraft is about building and crafting new things and therefore the players become a producer of the game and well as consuming the content.

- YouTubers such as PewDiePie have circulated Minecraft by creating videos of them playing the game and posting it online. In 2015 YouTube created a website with gaming content on. This means YouTube must have taken a liking to this new gaming industry of recording videos of the game being played and posting them. 


Who is Herobrine and Steve?


- The first mysterious Minecraft character was called Herobrine. This character would scare the players has he would randomly appear.

Steve is another character that can be controlled, often appearing on the profile page.

Why did Mojang shut down Brandon Liatch's attempt to create a Minecraft 'film'?


- Brandon Liatch wanted to combine 'live action' into the Minecraft world. Fans would produce stories of their own which would gain many views.
