Representation of Teenagers

1. Mobile phone use- This article is by the Daily Mail Online. A few statistics on the article show that teens spend around 2hours and 40 minutes on their phones everyday and children get as stressed when they have lost their phone as when they are separated from a parent.
Teens constantly staring down on their phones.

a family meal.
These photos represent a modern day family meal and teens when they are out with friends. In more cases than none a family will look at their phones during family time whether that a meal or going on a day trip. Teens go on there phones for many different reasons. This includes taking pictures or checking social media. The Daily Mail quotes, "people have very little awareness of the frequency with which they check their phones". this is seen as a negative aspect to the use of mobile phones. This article has no positive views written into it, however a positive would be that checking phones everyday keeps you connected with friends and family who are far away.
This attitude towards teenagers is very negative and focuses on the negative points of using a mobile phone. I believe the audience for this news article is worried parents for their child's safety and well-being whilst on a phone.

2. Weapons in school- This article is again by the Daily Mail Online. The new story talks about a teenager pulling out a handgun in school.
